Exploring the Five Unity Principles at Our March 3rd Spiritual Café Gathering

At the heart of Unity teachings are five simple yet powerful spiritual ideas known as the Five Unity Principles. These Principles offer a way of seeing ourselves, God, and the world that is hopeful, practical, and empowering. But what are they really? Where did they come from? And how can Unity spiritual principles be applied in everyday life?

At our next gathering of the Spiritual Cafe of the South Jersey Shore – Unity on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00 pm (ET) on Zoom, we will come together to explore these questions in an open and welcoming spiritual discussion.

The Five Unity Principles are rooted in the teachings of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, founders of the Unity movement. Their spiritual insights, inclusive of beliefs of some other world religions, became the foundation for modern Unity beliefs and practices used in Unity churches and spiritual communities around the world today. These principles remind us that God is present everywhere, that our thoughts shape our experiences, and that spiritual understanding is meant to be lived—not just studied.

Yet learning about Unity teachings is only the beginning.

The deeper invitation is to ask: 

• What would it mean if I truly used the Five Unity Principles as the basis of my life? 

• How might Unity ideas influence my relationships, decisions, and inner peace? 

• Where do I feel inspired by them—and where do I struggle? 

• What questions or concerns do I have about these spiritual principles?

This month’s Spiritual Cafe Monthly Gathering will be an interactive conversation rather than a formal class. Together we will reflect, share, listen, and learn from one another’s experiences. Whether you are new to Unity or have been exploring spiritual growth for years, you are welcome here. There will be information provided during our time together. The Spiritual Cafe is rooted in Unity and open to spiritual seekers of all paths. You do not need any prior knowledge of Unity beliefs to participate—only a willingness to explore with curiosity and an open heart.

Our intention is to create a safe spiritual community where questions are honored, insights are welcomed, and each person is free to discover what these principles might mean in their own life.
