“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”— Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NRSV)
Introduction
There are seasons in life when we are called to build, create, learn, and stretch into new possibilities. We set goals, pursue dreams, answer callings, and dedicate ourselves to meaningful work. These are sacred seasons of becoming.
For many years, I have been driven by purpose. Whether serving as an educator, attorney, researcher, public official, coach, minister, or spiritual leader, I have always believed that when Spirit places a calling on our hearts, we are invited to respond with commitment and action.
Today, I find myself living another beautiful chapter.
The Spiritual Café of the South Jersey Shore – Unity continues to grow as a welcoming community for spiritual seekers. Prison ministry work is expanding in meaningful ways. Opportunities for teaching, speaking, mentoring, and spiritual leadership continue to unfold. These are blessings I have prayed for and worked toward for many years.
And yet, amid the excitement of growth and purpose, Spirit has been whispering another message:
“Now remember to live, too.”
